Well, I thought that the old saying said that March comes in like a lion and goes out like a lamb, but apparently we are still in lion mode! What a crazy, windy day we had today…and snow overnight, tonight? Let's hope that it melts quickly and we can put this winter behind us! I just wanted to drop in with an update for this week. I will not be sending home a newsletter for this week. I am going to hold off with our Buckaroo of the Week until we return from spring break. Also, we will not have a spelling or reading test this week. We still have a lot of work to do during the school day, but I think it would be unfair to have an assessment after only two full days of school! Thanks for stopping by and checking out the blog and have a great night!

The kids love it when we have a learning activity that involves an afternoon snack! Today we were able to snack on Cheez-It crackers and complete our learning activity at the same time! We have been learning about different types of measurement, area, and perimeter during the last several weeks. We practiced our newly learned skills with a Cheez-It area and perimeter activity today. Students were able to design and arrange their Cheez-It squares into different shapes. Then, students recorded shapes on their recording sheets and measured the area and perimeter. |
