Meet the doctors from Mrs. Brunt's class! We had so much fun performing contraction surgery today in class. The kids were quite delighted to be able to wear their special masks and gloves while they removed unwanted letters and bandaged contractions together this morning! I played the role of the class nurse and ran from doctor to doctor assisting with bandages and helping them with their words…I mean, patients! I also managed to snap a few cute photos of the little doctors when I wasn't busy with my nurse duties. Hope you enjoy!

Good evening Parents! Just wanted to pop in with a quick update on a new (to me) text reminder system. I sent home a worksheet today with instructions on how to register for text message updates from me when we have an upcoming test or I need to get an important reminder to you. It's a great way to send messages while keeping personal cell phone numbers private. Please let me know if you have any questions about this system or if you did not receive the instructions worksheet. Have a fantastic Tuesday night!
Howdy Parents! Just a quick reminder that I am still looking for parent volunteers to work with guided reading groups on Tuesdays from 8:45-9:20am and Fridays from 8:45-9:20am. My goal is to have 4 parent volunteers each day. Right now I have two scheduled for both Tuesday and Friday. Would you be willing to come in and read with a group? Comment below or send me an e-mail. I'm looking forward to hearing from you!
A BIG thanks to all of the parents who made our Halloween party a huge success! It was a great afternoon for the kiddos! Last week was a whirlwind with all of our Red Ribbon Week activities and the fun and excitement of Halloween! We all wore red to show that we pledge to stay healthy and drug-free! Above was our last picture as a class before Miss Brenna moved away! We are sad to see her go, but super excited for her new adventure. Check next week's newsletter for her new address. We had a very fun going away party for Brenna on Wednesday afternoon. The kids were super sweet and brought in a few small gifts and cards to encourage her and send her on her way. We also made a cute class scrapbook with pictures and cards from all of the kids and a few of Brenna's favorite teachers. Below are some of the pics from the party and pictures that were included in Brenna's scrapbook. Enjoy! |
