During Science class today, we wrapped up our plant unit with a fun & tasty activity! We reviewed the different parts of a plant & tasted all the parts of a plant. We had sunflower seeds (seeds), broccoli florets (flowers), baby spinach leaves (leaves), celery (stems), and carrots (roots). The students DEVOURED the veggies and everyone found something that they enjoyed. Many of the kids even had seconds and thirds of the tasty plant parts! Look at that little cutie in the back hiding from the camera! Ha! Too funny!

He even asked for seconds of most of the veggies! He tried the celery and got the most awful look on his face. He told me that the celery was so bad it made his eyes water and asked if he could throw it in the garbage! He gave me a good laugh!

Again, love the pictures ... little "windows" into their world at school. Thanks so much.
