Here are some pictures of the finished products! Everyone did a great job! We learned so much about problem solving, planning, and working together towards a common goal.
On Monday, Mrs. Schmidt's class and Mrs. Brunt's class got together for a STEM teepee building challenge. The challenge was to build a teepee that one student could sit inside using only newspaper and masking tape. Students were not allowed to use any other tools or furniture to help them prop up their teepee. Below are pictures of all 41 students gathered together and listening to instructions! We had ten groups with four students in each group. After we received instructions, we split up and began planning and imagining what the teepees would look like. Below are some pictures of students working together. Some groups had to start over several times, but we learned that it's ok to make mistakes! Learning is all about taking risks and trying new things! Drumroll please… Here are some pictures of the finished products! Everyone did a great job! We learned so much about problem solving, planning, and working together towards a common goal. Don't forget to check out Mrs. Schmidt's amazing video by clicking HERE!
