News & Notes for the week of december 21st
On Monday, December 21st, we will have a full day of science fun. Mrs. Schmidt and I have two challenging STEM activities for the kids to work on throughout the day. Check the blog for plenty of pictures! We will also have the opportunity to visit Mrs. Groch's third grade class to view a short play that they have been working on.
On Tuesday, December 22nd, we will have a half day of school with dismissal at 12:10pm. During the morning, we will have time for some Christmas crafts, gym class, and a school-wide Christmas sing-along in the cafeteria. After that, we are planning on celebrating Christmas together with a movie, hot chocolate, and some snacks. Also, I've told the kids that they can wear their pajamas on this day, but please bring tennis shoes for gym.
Finally, I sent home a holiday reading challenge with the kids today in their mailboxes. This is not mandatory, but it's a great way to earn some extra credit that will go towards your child's 2nd quarter reading grade. Happy reading!
