Here's What's Happening in second grade!
Our story for the week is Henry and Mudge. We will be focusing on learning some new vocabulary words and sequencing or putting the events of the story in order. We will have our first reading comprehension test aka "Celebration of Learning" on Friday along with our first spelling test on words with short a. We are also beginning "Writing Boot Camp" this week. The little recruits will be learning all about the writing process and how to keep their thoughts organized while adding lots of juicy details! During math, we will continue to familiarize ourselves with the number grid by completing number grid puzzles. We will also learn equivalent names for numbers and learn a new math game called Fishing for 10! It will be a fun-filled week packed with learning!
