Today we read a book called Pirates Go to School. When we were finished reading about the pirates' day at school, we went on a friend treasure hunt and made these adorable treasure chest craftivities. If you look closely, you can see that each gold coin has a quality or characteristic of a treasured student!
We've been having a great time in 2nd grade! We've been easing into the school year with some review activities and lots of focus on rules, routines, and expectations. We've also been taking our beginning-of-the-year placement tests. These tests are very difficult, but students have been hanging in there and giving it their best effort.
