I hope that this explanation is helpful! We will go over the review next week to make sure everyone is prepared for the test! Have a great weekend!
The Unit 2 math review came home today and we will have our Unit 2 Progress Check next Wednesday, October 30th. I just wanted to post a reminder about the term "helper fact." I know that this is not a common term that you or I may have used when we were in elementary school, but it is a helpful strategy that helps students with their addition and subtraction facts. The example given on the review sheet is 7+8= _____. Students are asked to write the helper fact. A helper fact is a doubles fact such as 7+7=14. If the student knows that 7+7=14, then 7+8 must equal 15.
I hope that this explanation is helpful! We will go over the review next week to make sure everyone is prepared for the test! Have a great weekend!
