Also, some of you were confused about the helper fact on the review. The problem given was 7+8=___. A helper fact would be a doubles fact that would help us solve this problem. It could be 7+7=14. If we know that 7+7=14, then 7+8 would be one more and would equal 15. You could also use 8+8=16 as a helper fact. If we know that 8+8=16, then 7+8 would be one less. Hope this helps!
I just wanted to give a quick update on our Unit 2 Progress Check. We had one more lesson to finish today, so I pushed the test back to tomorrow. If your child turned in his or her review, that should have come home with any changes/updates so that you can continue to prepare for the test tomorrow. We will do a quick review before the test and please remind your child to ask questions during the test. I will be more than happy to read or clarify directions during the test!
